Eduardo V. Yap Jr., originally from the Philippines, is a resident of Al Ain. According to the artist: “The artwork UAE 46 is an arrangement of UAE’s significant objects representing the historical heritage preservation, and the economic growth of the country. The relevance of the birds nesting on the head of the camel represent the expatriates and different nationalities that found nest and comfort in living and working in the country. Foreign workers have played a key role in helping to build the gulf’s most diversified economy.”
Ten percent of all sales will be contributed to the “Wanna Read?” initiative (led by HH Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan) that provides hospitalized children a stimulating and enriching environment by offering an abundance of books.
